Here To Protect Your Future And Your Finances

Securing maximum compensation for those hurt on the job and elsewhere.

Navigating The Aftermath Of A Crash

A car crash is often a shocking event, surrounded by confusion and fear. If you are involved in a car collision, truck accident or pedestrian accident, it is best to stay at the site until police have been contacted and medical help has arrived for anyone who is injured.

The steps you take immediately following an automobile accident are highly dependent on whether you are physically and emotionally capable.

If you are able:

  • Call 911 immediately after the accident happens.
  • Check on your passengers first, then check on the other drivers.
  • Do not move a person who is unconscious or saying they have back or neck pain.
  • Do not apologize or say that the accident was your fault.
  • Try to get a recording of the scene with your phone. Take photos, video the damage, and be sure to back up your video as soon as you are able to.

It is essential to contact the police to report any property damage, the injuries and a death as a result of the accident.

When you ask for a police report to be filed, write down the reporting police officers’ names and badge numbers.

It is critical to gather and write down as much information from the other driver and car passengers who were also involved in the incident. At minimum, get the other driver’s:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number
  • License plate of the car
  • Name of their insurance company

Let Us Talk To Insurance Adjusters

While we recommend that you get as much information as you can, including getting contact information from any witnesses, do not speak to insurance adjusters who come onto the scene before you speak with a lawyer.

Contact your own insurance agent soon after the accident. Your insurance company could offer you a settlement amount, but before you accept any insurance offer, speak with an experienced attorney.

Sometimes the impact of injuries is delayed and you want to be certain to get complete treatment for your injuries.

Serving California residents who have been hurt by the negligence of another person, Viadro Law, LLP, has helped Bay Area residents secure seven- and eight-figure settlements or verdicts in different types of personal injury claims, including car accidents.
